Female Hair Transplant

Compared to the male Alopecia (Hair loss) FEMALES hair loss is more diffuse and overall thinning which includes the donor area too. Only few have the type of hair loss in which the Donor area is preserved to some extent with respect to hair restoration to be considered. For the reasons mentioned above women are not good candidates for Hair Transplant compared to the men. In Male when compared with the Females, the back and sides of SCALP (Donor site) are resistant to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and hence are called STABLE SITES. Female baldness is diffuse and so the donor area is UNSTABLE. BUT Frontal Hairline is intact in majority of females. It means donor areas are affected by DHT in female. If the follicles are transplanted from these unstable sites which are under the influence of DHT, after the transplantation the hair going to FALL AGAIN.
